You can get free rides after 5 p.m. at Lowry Park Zoo's Summer Safari Night , with special animal encounters from 5 to 8 p.m. at 1101 W Sligh Ave. It's included with admission, $23.95, $21.95 seniors, $18.95 ages 3 to 11, 2 and younger free. Call (813) 935-8552.
Applaud that sunset
Friday's free Corey Sunset Celebration features wine tastings, shopping, dining, arts and crafts and entertainment as the sun sets on St. Pete Beach. Hurricane Bowl blows in
Join bay area krewes in the Krewes Kare Hurricane Bowl . The bowling tournament and party with a buffet, storm-themed drink specials, raffles, giveaways and more raises money for supplies flown in for first responders at storm sites. Havana good time
Like those scenes out of Cuban casinos in the '50s, Havana Nights Casino Night will be a networking event with cocktails, food stations, gaming dollars and casino-style games including blackjack, poker, roulette and craps.
