Siemens Gigaset launches new cordless phone

The new model boasts ease of use, good sound quality and ringer melody output via hands free speaker on desktop phone and via buzzer on handset. It claims to offer a talk time of up to 5 hours and a maximum standby time of 100 hours.

The phone comes in two colours - black and white. It has a keypad with 12 numeric keys in addition to 9 function keys; an integrated phonebook that can store up to 50 numbers on handsfree unit, while the desktop phone can store upto 30 entries.

Users do not miss any incoming calls while they are away since the illuminated display shows the last 20 incoming calls which include the answered and missed calls. If the CLIP function is enabled, users can call up a list containing the names, numbers and time of call for the last 10 callers, who can then be dialed again directly.

Upto 4 handsets can be registered to the base station with indoor range of upto 50 meters and outdoor range of upto 300 meters. A user can also make free internal calls between the desktop phone and up to two registered handsets.
