BRUNSWICK — Bowdoin College women’s tennis players Katie Winingham and Kellen Alberstone have been named All-Americans by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Alberstone collected the honor for her performance in singles and doubles play while Winingham earned doubles recognition. It is the first time in school history that multiple players have earned All-American in the same year. Alberstone was rock solid as Bowdoin’s top singles player this year, recording a 17-7 overall record at the No.1 spot in the ladder. Ranked as the No. 4 singles player in New England, she was one of just 32 players in Division III to qualify for the NCAA Individual Championship, where she advanced to the second round. She was also honored as a All-NESCAC selection and was named the ITA's “Player to Watch” for Division III.
