Morneau had already been battling a sore left wrist that landed him on the 15-day disabled list and had been in a cast to try to stablize that injury while also resting his neck. After seeing a neck specialist, he and the club made the decision to have the surgery.

Morneau is hitting .282 with four homers and 20 RBIs in 55 games for the Twins.

Minnesota activated reliever Joe Nathan (right forearm) before the game after he missed 28 games.

"I can't give you a timetable," Jeter said Friday after throwing for the fourth straight day at New York's spring complex. "Best way to put it, when I'm ready to play I'll be back."

The team captain, on the disabled list since June 14, is still awaiting clearance from the Yankees' medical staff to resume running, hitting and fielding grounders.

He's six hits shy of 3,000, a chase that's been on hold since getting hurt June 13.

Also, right-hander Bartolo Colon, sidelined by a strained right hamstring, threw 31 pitches in his first bullpen session.

How To Get Relief From Bulging Disc Pain In West Melbourne-Palm ...

When a pain develops in the back and does not go away, it is important to consult a West Melbourne-Palm Bay chiropractor. The human body is very complex, with each part depending on the other to function properly. When something goes amiss with one area, it is going to affect other parts of the body.

The spinal cord, and its vertebrae, play the most important role in the body’s movements. Its many small parts depend on each other if one is to be able to make movements, such as walking, sitting and bending. When something goes wrong with one of these parts, a person immediately feels pain.

Each vertebra that allows movement of the back is protected with ligaments, muscles and nerve endings. In addition, vertebrae are separated and cushioned by discs that keep them from rubbing together. Each disc has an outer rim, the center of which is filled with a gel-like substance, called nucleus.

When one of these discs bulges or ruptures, the nucleus pushes out and pinches the nerve endings. This is what makes a person feel severe pain in that area. A ruptured or herniated disc can be caused by a number of factors including a heavy strain, increased pressure on the back, or repeated activities. Even a slight sneeze can cause this type of bulge.

Consulting with a chiropractor, an in-depth consultation will be held concerning the patient’s well being and health. This is followed by a spinal examination and x-rays. When this is completed, an analysis will be made to see what needs to be done to relieve the problem. A bulging or herniated disc with a pinched nerve can be very painful, so a chiropractor is especially gentle in his or her spinal manipulations.

Today’s West Melbourne-Palm Bay chiropractor not only has the latest state-of-the art equipment but also brings his or her vast knowledge concerning the subject. Suggestions will be made regarding exercise and diet, with the patient being guided every step of the way. All sessions are aimed at making the patient pain free and able to resume a normal lifestyle.

A West Melbourne-Palm Bay chiropractor has the expertise to alleviate pain from ruptured or compressed discs. You can learn more about chiropractic techniques by visiting the web pages at http://www.ClowChiropractic.com today.
