Film director Michael Winner has announced details for his wedding at the age of 75 - his first marriage.
Winner, also a food critic, will wed his fiancee of four years, Geraldine Lynton-Edwards, 70, on 19 September.
Actor Michael Caine and wife Shakira will witness the register office ceremony and host a lunch a day before.
Winner explained that it would be a small wedding as he did not want "640 freeloaders who don't know me getting drunk at my expense".
Guests at the Caines' home for Sunday lunch are expected to include composer Lord Lloyd-Webber, photographer Terry O'Neill and singer Chris Rea.
The couple have been engaged for four years and will honeymoon in Portofino on the Italian Riviera.
"I turn 76 in October and I have never been anywhere near marriage before. It took a long time for a bit of common sense to enter my befuddled brain," Mr Winner said.
"Geraldine is great fun and she has been with me through difficult times, and now she's making a respectable man of me.
"I think she's very pleased. After a while, when someone is that close to you and you love them, the question is: 'If you love me, why aren't we married?'
"I think the celebration happens in the mind. We're celebrating each day," he added.
The Sunday Times restaurant critic has directed more than 30 feature films including the Death Wish series starring Charles Bronson.
He has also won a whole new audience of fans in recent years for his performances in the Esure adverts, with their catchphrase "Calm down, dear".
