This question always makes me smile.

I do not know how many times you asked me how I have the energy to continue as I do. Everyone wants to know my secret!

I guess it's funny to me because I always liked to do more! There are so many days when the night comes too fast and I feel I have accomplished nothing. Probably because there are so many things I must do to get it!

I reflected on how to answer this question, and I pretty much came down to three key catalysts that seem to help me get the most I can every day.

Maybe this will help someone.

Ditching the tube - Getting rid of television in our house is no doubt forced me to get up my ass for the duration of the nap, and get busy doing something productive. Yeah, I cry for Dr. Phil for a week or two, but then he was like, "What the hell did I see in this garbage anyways?"

If you feel like you are simply not done enough in the day, or you are not achieving your highest potential chores ... get rid of your TV

As in the sale. Give it away. Get out of your house completely!Or less time together as a family.

Limit sweets - I must be honest ... I am a sucker for stuff total sugars. Sweet tea, biscuits, cakes, brownies ... anything smothered in chocolate, oh man, I'm everywhere! Ask Jerry. If there is a dessert in the house, it has about 2 minutes to not only ask for his room, but they ate as well, before it was in my mouth.

For this reason, I try not to cook too many desserts. I know very well that if I do, I'll be the one to eat about 98.5% of it. Not that anyone else wants a piece.I just have ZERO self-control. Shameful. But so true.

I try to limit my sugar intake, not only for the sake of keeping my figure of a young girl (uh-low), but also because I really noticed that on days when I snuck a cookie too, my energy level plummets, and I much prefer to sit at the computer to be proactive in the house. Not good.

If sweets are too part of your daily diet, consider cutting back. Personally, I drink OJ with my breakfast, but there are a lot of sugar in the juice. So instead, I found a cup of hot green tea sweetened with a little honey acts as a nice pick-me-up first thing in the morning and takes me a good start.
